The BC29MR is very unique as it is four sided, with one wall being removable for easy and fast media changes. Forces water through media for increased filtration. Easy top access to change and maintain filter floss. Works in combination with the BC29FG fuge rack. Works if you have the Tunze 9002 or Sapphire BC29 (post July 2009 4.5"x2.5"x16"). Fits with the standard upgraded Tunze cup. Will not work if you have a skimmer larger than these listed.

HQI owners: some find the light bracket gets in the way of the water director.  To use one corner may have be to cut on the director.

• Bottom shelf: Chemi Pure Elite 11.74oz tied to middle shelf

Included are both stay hold and water director pieces. Some owners remove the divider/tab between the chamber one/two wall while some keep it in place. We include both pieces allowing you to remove the tab when you are ready. The water direction pieces are optional but help direct flow into the center of the basket. Disregard the MIN/MAX line on the tank. It is not needed in a reef setup. Please add water to your second chamber so that the level is just under the top of your basket.

FAQ: Does this fit the HQI and regular BC29?

A: YES, BC29 and BC29 HQI have the exact same chamber setup.
