 Why scrape paint or spend time mounting a top light for chaeto? This underwater light is perfect for making a fuge and fits around all smaller media and fuge baskets. Does not raise the temperature in your tank.

So do I go with the one or two lights? inTank recommends two underwater lights lights for a larger fuge area or for the customer that wants to blast macro algae with light from all directions. In a smaller tank such as a 14 gallon or under the single light is effective. With good water flow the addition of heat is not a problem and macro algae will even grow directly against the bulb.

Macro algae photo-period: You can run your underwater lights for 24 hours per day or a reverse light cycle period. If you choose the shorter period of time have the underwater lights ON when the display lights of your aquarium are OFF.

If heat is an issue in your aquarium light can be replaced with 5W bulb.

For smaller basket areas fish cord through shelving holes.  Sit light on bottom of shelf and shine upwards.
